Concrete base is recycled concrete that is tore up from old parking lots or other concrete projects such as sidewalks, ect. The concrete is broke up and loaded in a dump truck then trucked to a recycling facility. The concrete is then broke up into smaller pieces so they can be loaded into a crusher. This project located in Sun City Center, FL. required 6, 18 yard loads of base that was 50 percent 1/2 thru 1/8 dia rock and the other 50 percent is fine material which is 1/8 minus. This base has a L.B.R. (Load Bearing Ratio) of 180.
